The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon was aged in a mix of new and used French and American oak. Purple in color, it offers up aromas of cedar, spice box, cinnamon, cardamom, and black currant. Medium to full-bodied, this savory Cabernet delivers layered black fruit flavors in its well-balanced personality. All components are nicely integrated and there is enough structure for it to evolve for 4-6 years. It will drink well through 2020. Kangarilla Road, over the past several vintages, has established a track record of turning out high-quality South Australian wines at consumer-friendly prices. Founded in 1997 by Kevin and Helen O’Brien, and located 22 miles south of Adelaide, the estate consists of 30 acres and Kevin O’Brien is winemaker.
