Introduction

Due to popular demand, we have dedicated a web log exclusively to help students, graduates, and friends in the industry to buy wine in BC.

Our philosophy is simple:

1. We look for affordable wines (always below $50, with the majority of them between $10-30);

2. We only recommend wines that are readily available* in local BC Liquor Stores, with no waiting lists and the selected wines do not require special orders;

3. The bottles selected must have excellent ratings (scoring 90 points or above) by at least one of the following top wine critics:

    Please note that the reviews listed on this blog are vintage specific. Users should pay attention to ensure that the year of the wine rated does match with the year of the wine they are buying.

    *Under each recommended wine, there is a link to the wine's inventory status from the BC Liquor Stores web page, which is updated daily. We have also recorded the number of bottles available (in Vancouver Lower Mainland as well as in BC in total) , when the recommendation was made. The purpose is to give users a general idea on the availability, however, the numbers will obvious change as the bottles are sold.
