The 2004 Crianza, from what appears to be a great vintage, is opaque purple in appearance. It emits scintillating aromas of smoke, toast, herbs, kirsch, and black fruits. It is a full-bodied, large-scaled effort with oodles of fruit and enough structure to age effortlessly for 6-8 years and drink well for a decade thereafter.

A solid red, with chewy tannins supporting black cherry, light herb and vanilla flavors. The tannins get the best of this for now, but should soften with food. Drink now through 2009. 20,000 cases made. –TM Score: 84
